HISTORY
A beacon of hope shining forth the love of God
In January 1991, Elder Marion Hendricks traveled to Pocomoke City, Maryland to begin having Bible study in the home of Steve and Barbara Birckett. After searching for a a building in which Bible study and worship services could continue, a building was acquired at 206 Fifth Street. The initial worship service for the mission was held in August of that same year.
In 1992, Minister Cartwright was installed as pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God of Lincoln, Inc. Pocomoke City, Maryland. In July of the following year, he and his family moved to the area to become a part of the community they served. In August of the following year, Pastor Cartwright was ordained an elder.
In January 2020, the church purchased the current property at 1130 Old Virginia Road where the inaugural worship service was held on the first Sunday in March of that year. We praise God for His faithfulness through the years and anticipate continued great things as we share hope through His love!
